Puckapunyal Armoury

This project required the construction of a new Armoury holding facility within the Joint Logistic Unit (Victoria) located in Puckapunyal Military Area including construction of the concrete armoury itself, installation of electrical services, security alarm system, fire services and certification of the new armoury. Refurbishment of existing armoury workshop followed the commissioning of the new armoury.

This technical facility is essential a high security heavy duty concrete building that houses weapons. For obvious reasons, it is designed to be impenetrable other than through the security door which is a 1 tonne steel vault door. APGC undertook full construction including:
- Structural construction of armoury walls and roof, solid concrete 500mm thick
- Installation of Type1A Security Alarm System and associated security requirements
- Installation of armoury door Building Services (CCTV, electrical, lighting, fire requirements etc)
- Internal fit out of armoury with racking system
