Fairfield QR Depot

This project involved the redevelopment and refurbishment of an existing inner city industrial shed and two storey office building to be used as a new depot site for Queensland Rail.

The works involved the improvements to the operational usefulness of a large undercover warehouse area, including new lighting and electrical infrastructure throughout, as well as the installation of industrial safety systems. Additionally an on-site, 2 storey office building was upgraded and refurbished to refresh the architectural finishes, and adapt to the new user functionality, as well as modifications to bring the building up to current BCA and NCC compliance levels, including access and egress, fire safety systems, and upgrade of electrical distribution boards.

The works were carried out to very tight timeframes and resulted in an as-new facility, ready for its new occupants and purposes as a Queensland Rail Depot facility.
